Hair colouring in Lisbon with me covers a root touch-up, a toner and full colour. Colour starts from €70. The formula is mixed for your hair and your skin tone, with Alfaparf and Wella, after we have looked at what is already on the hair. I will not put a new colour over a fibre that needs moisture first.
A root colour and an ammonia-free root colour are both on the menu, along with a full colour when the whole length has to change. Toner is there to shift a tone that has gone warm or dull, not as a substitute for a colour that needs redoing. We decide which one in the consultation.
Curly hair and corrections
Colour on curly, afro and wavy hair has to survive the way that hair is worn, not only the hour it is blown smooth. If the curl is the priority, we protect it. Balayage is the hand-painted option when you want light that grows out softly, and it starts from €250. A root or a full colour is the better tool when you want an even result.
Colour correction is part of the work when a previous colour has to be brought back to something you can live with. I will tell you if that takes more than one visit. The salon is in Campolide, Monday to Saturday, 10:00 to 20:00, and you book on WhatsApp.
Before the colour
Come with the hair as you normally wear it, not freshly packed with oil, unless I have asked you to. Photos help when they show your own hair in daylight. A picture of a celebrity colour is a starting point, not a promise. I match the formula to your skin tone and to what is already on the lengths.
If the hair is dry, we do hydration before we lighten. Truss and Essence are the treatment brands, from €85. Rushing colour onto tired curly hair is how definition disappears. I would rather book you a second visit than force both on a fibre that cannot hold them.
