Curly hair in Lisbon
Curly, afro and wavy cuts, shaped to the curl rather than a straight-hair template.
A cut that follows the curl
I cut curly, afro and wavy hair in Lisbon for women who want the shape to follow the curl. A curly cut here is not a straight-hair template with the dryer doing the rest. We start by listening: how the hair behaves on a normal day, the face in front of me, and the life the cut has to fit. Short, layered or around the face, the scissors follow that, not a picture that only works while the hair is wet and pulled smooth.
The appointment is a women's haircut, from €80. That is the published price for the cut, including curly, afro and wavy hair. There is no separate curl menu beyond that. If you also want colour, we talk about whether the fibre is ready before any lightening. Balayage, when we do it, is painted by hand and has to respect the curl. Balayage starts from €250.
Curly, afro and wavy hair, in one chair
The chair is in Campolide, at Rua Arco do Carvalhão 1B, for women in Lisbon who do not want to be talked into a generic straight look. Curly, afro and wavy hair are the point of the work. I have spent more than eight years on this, with training at the Schwarzkopf Academy and time working in Dubai and Saudi Arabia, and I bring that to the mix of hair types that come through a Lisbon salon.
Face shape matters. Round, square or oval, the cut has to sit where you actually wear the hair. Lifestyle matters too. If you do not want a style that only exists for the hour after the appointment, say so at the start. Beauty starts with listening, and the result should still look like your hair when you leave.
Definition without forcing the texture
Definition comes from the cut and from moisture, not from forcing one texture into another. I will not promise a curl pattern the hair does not have. What I will do is shape the hair so the curl, the wave or the afro texture can sit without being smoothed into someone else's silhouette.
Clients say cacheado and encaracolado for the same brief: keep the texture, make the shape work. Wavy hair gets the same attention. If part of the head is tighter than the rest, we cut for the hair you have. The goal is a shape you can live with between visits, in Lisbon, not a finish that collapses the moment the air gets humid.
Hydration, and colour only when the hair can take it
Hydration and treatments start from €85, with Truss and Essence. I use them when the fibre needs moisture. Alfaparf and Wella come in when colour is part of the plan, not as a default on every curly visit. A routine is personal: what we do in the salon has to match how you wash and wear the hair the rest of the week.
Between visits, the cut should still make sense. If colour and curl are both in the brief, we decide the order in the consultation so the fibre is not asked to do two hard things on a day it cannot. I will tell you if the hair is not ready. Hand-painted colour is still lightening, and the curl has to come first.
How to book
Booking is on WhatsApp. Tell me whether you want the curly cut, hydration, colour, or more than one, and we confirm the service before you come in. Hours are Monday to Saturday, 10:00 to 20:00. I work in a salon in Campolide. The appointment is with me.
If length is the brief rather than the cut, invisible tape extensions are a separate service and the price is confirmed in consultation. I do not use other extension methods. If the curl itself is what you want to sort out first, start with the cut. Colour and moisture can follow once the shape is right.
The figures on this page are the ones already published. A women's haircut, which is how a curly cut is booked, starts at €80. Hydration starts at €85. Balayage starts at €250. Extensions are priced in consultation because the amount of hair changes. I will not quote a curl package that has not been agreed. If you are comparing a curly-hair specialist in Lisbon with a chain menu, this is the difference: one person, one chair in Campolide, and a cut that starts from the curl you walked in with.
